Pieces a Breakaway Novel Michelle Davidson Argyle 9781936850853 Books
This book is a follow up to Breakaway and it definitely doesn't have the edge or the energy of the first book but then again Pieces is an entirely different type of story. This story is more reflective and has a sort of somber tone to it as it digs deep into the lingering emotional affects the kidnapping had on Naomi and how she feels about the events that took place and the people involved two years later, especially Jesse. This book is well paced and the author does a very good job of slowly navigating through the myriad of emotions that Naomi goes through as she tries to make sense of her own frame of mind. It is when Naomi meets Finn, who she is very attracted to and they become good friends, that the reader begins to see small cracks in her resolve to remain loyal to Jesse. When Jesse is released from prison and re-enters her life, who she is and what she wants becomes a blur as lies and manipulation force her to confront the truths of her past, present and future.
I read the book straight through and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the ending was perfect and it doesn't leave any lingering questions. Well done.

Pieces a Breakaway Novel Michelle Davidson Argyle 9781936850853 Books Reviews
Michelle Davidson Argyle writes another amazing book!! I loved The Breakaway! And even though the story could have ended there, I am so glad she wrote a sequel!! It really completes The Breakaway in a way that I wouldn't have been able to imagine. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
This book was as touching as the first. Actually even better. Naomi was still on her quest to find herself. It's a tear-jerker!
PIECES was an excellent sequel to THE BREAKAWAY. While obviously not as intense, it is just as good. The character and story of Naomi will stick with me for a very long time.
I LOVED this book. The author's voice is incredible. This book is a sequel to The Breakaway and I actually liked it even more than the first book! Never read anything by this author? Start now!
I loved this novel but I hated the ending. I am a sucker for happily ever after and this book defenitely had a bitter sweet ending. This is the second part to the book breakaway and I was looking forward to it a lot. You must read the first book in order to understand and enjoy this one. I wanted her to stay with her kidnapper not the new guy. I hated the new guy I didn't get a chance to warm up to him at all.
The first half of the book was slow, nothing like the emotionally packed first book "The Breakaway". In fact, I took a break and did house cleaning for a while as a preferable alternative to reading, that slow. But necessary. Michelle Davidson Argyle delivers in the second half! And I highly approve of the ending. It was the "healthiest" way to end for all parties involved. Very well written, it goes into my "favorite" stack and I look forward to more great reads by this author.
i was so bored beyond reason. it was so annoying as well and i really wish i didn't purchase this second part of the story. Jesse was only being himself WHILE THE SUPPOSEDLY HEROINE DELUDED HERSELF INTO BELIEVING ONE OF THE MEN WHO HAD A PART IN HER KIDNAP WOULD BE ABLE TO CHANGE HIMSELF TO BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR HER! Ok, now it really annoid me when she went against the law herself by going to see him which really is stupid on her part considering she supposedly loved him, which if he did then she would've set him free. it was so pointless and the female lead was so very naive and stubborn it made me so exhausted to read it to the very end. it felt more like an obligation than pleasure for a person who loves to read romance and YA fiction for fun. OH and I guess i was hoping for some closure with the whole Eric and his sister thing. i didnt think Erick's sister deserved what she got. but there was no tying up those loose ends.
