This book was recommended to me by one of its proofreaders. I read a lot of everything and have started incorporating what is termed "Young Adult" fantasy/sci-fi, most of which isn't all that "young." This book, however, is "young." I remember my scatterbrained hormonal brain at age 16 and it was easy to relate to that aspect of the book. Far more enjoyable was the story of the Outliers, their varied gifts, and how they deal with them in the modern world. As I read the book, I was somewhat reminded of Orson Scott Card's "Alvin Maker" series, wherein different characters deal with the varied powers/gifts they have and learn the consequences, both good and bad, of their use.

I'm hopeful that the second book delves more into the Outlier history and provides a better balance with the explosion of teen hormones in Book One.

A good read.

Got to read the early version of this book and loved the storyline and characters. So glad to finally be able to order and read the final product. Great read to lose yourself in a little fantasy, intrigue and mystery.
Once I got started I couldn't put it down. You have got to start this book. I hope Sherry Sirna will have the second book soon.
Interesting story line but didn't hold my attention
“Forever Young” by Sherry Sirna.
It is a fast paced read perfect for young adults (and the young at heart)! Impressive characters, excellent story, tremendously enjoyable. I loved it! I cannot wait for the next book to come out to see what happens to Cass, Gavin, Niko, Demetrius (I already hate him!), Gabriella and Cole - I love Cole’s enthusiasm!
